  1. Tēnā koe Lucy, my name is Elle and I’m a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai - you have done a great job on the Treasure Code activity! Pigpen cipher is so intricate and it’s great to see you mastering how to cipher and decipher this code. Well done on figuring out that Lion Rock is at Piha Beach! I’ve been once before and climbed it - the view overlooking the sea is beautiful!

Well done for creating your own code and I think it’s great that, even though you made an error, you pointed it out to help your readers along. It definitely helped me! I have cracked your code, and I have to say, that is a stunning beach that I would love to visit one day! I won’t give away the answer in the comments in case other learners want to have a go at deciphering your code, but I will mention that it looks like an amazing place for sunsets, swimming and beach games, like volleyball! Have you been to this beach before? If you have, I am very envious!

Keep up the great blogging Lucy!

  2. Hi Elle
I've never been to Piha beach, but I have been to the beach I put in code. Some of my family live up there so I go at least once a year!

    1. Kia ora Lucy,

That is great to hear! It's so nice to have a beach that's special to you and your family! What is your favourite thing to do at the beach? Is it swimming, building sandcastles, or something else?

I hope you have a great day, and keep up the fantastic work.

    2. Hi Elle
My favourite thing to do at the beach is kayaking. My family have lots of kayaks so they let us borrow them.
