Activity 1: Togs or Trackies?
I think they should come in summer because
- They can do lots of swimming, walking and going on boats at the Abel Tasman.
- There are heaps of cool ice creams here and the best time to get ice cream is in summer.
- You can go on lots of other walks
Activity 2: You are my Sunshine
- Wear clothing
- Put on sunscreen
- Put on a hat
- Put on some sunglasses
- Find shade
Activity 3: Burning Up…
Hi Lucy!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing that you are continuing to pump through the days of activities! Awesome job... not too far from the finish! What a star! :)
Activity One:
I agree with you, I think summertime is the best time, but I love the hot weather too and prefer it way more than winter.
Are you the same?
You have come up with some fun activities for tourists to do in the summer too - Great work!
I love to hang out in the water during the summer and the Abel Tasman is a beautiful place to visit... I think this idea is a winner - Have you been to the Abel Tasman over the break?
You are right we have fantastic ice-creams over here! Nothing like an ice-cream after a long day at the beach! Do you have a favourite flavour you would recommend to tourist to try?
Activity Two:
You have come up with some great ways to stay safe in the sun this summer! So important to know, getting sunburnt is horrible!
Have you been sunburt before Lucy? ...very painful!
Sun block is really important in New Zealand, it's so harsh in the sun over here!
I had a friend visiting from America once and he didn't believe me when I told him how strong the sun was... He learnt pretty quickly and became the sunblock timer reminding everyone to reapply! :)
Activity Three:
Wow, what a fantastic graph! I like that you have put a title on the top that tells people exactly what the graph is about. :)
Remember to add labels for the x and y axis (Places/Locations - Temperature) - That way people know exactly what you are plotting on your graph.
I can't believe how hot these places are!! I really like the hot weather but I dunno if I could handle that heat!
I did go to Death Valley in America and that is meant to be one of the hottest places on Earth - It is suppose to be hot enough to fry an egg on the ground... I'm not sure if it's true though, I didn't try it :)
Do you prefer the hot or cold?
Would you like to visit somewhere this hot?
Amazing job on these activities Lucy - Keep up the great work!
Nga mihi,
Ellee :)
